Prepregnancy Risk Stratification

Risk Factors

1. History of heart failure, TIA, CVA, or Arrhythmia
2. NYHA Class II Heart Failure
3. Cyanosis
4. Mitral Valve Area < 2.0 cm; Aortic Valve Area < 1.5; LVOT > 30 mm Hg
5. EF < 40%

Contraindications to

• Severe Pulmonary Hypertension (3/4 Systemic Pressure)
• Severe Valvular Disease
• Ventricular Dysfunction
  • EF < 40% or Class III or IV Heart Failure
• Marfan’s Syndrome (Aorta size > 4.0 cm)
• Severe Cyanosis
