Bilirubinuria

In medicine, bilirubinuria is an abnormality where bilirubin is detected in the urine.[1]

The term "biliuria" is very similar, but more general. It refers to the presence of any bile pigment in the urine.

The most common causes of bilirubinuria are Gilbert’s syndrome, chronic hepatitis,Crigler-Najjar syndrome, medications (especially NSAIDS) and hepatocellular disease due to chemical toxins.
