The SVC DF header with integrated bipolar leads links the can with the SVC coil. When the distal DF pin is accidently interchanged with the proximal DF pin, the ring and distal coil act as a large antennae coupled with the can. This coupling substantially increases the risk of myopotential detection of ICD. The characteristic findings are an integrated bipolar lead with noise on both the far field and near field ventricular EGM. Myopotentials with correctly placed DF pins is characterized by noise on the ventricular EGM. EMI is characterized by noise on all EGMs and far field electrograms.
